Keywords: micropolitics of work, neoliberalism, unified social assistance system

Abstract

Considering that the micropolitics of relational acts in social assistance services is shaped by the subjective dimension of work processes engendered in the scenarios of care production by SUAS workers under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this article intends, based on the reports referring to the productive restructuring processes of the social assistance model, to constitute a cartography of the Technical Composition of Work (Merhy, 2002; Merhy, Franco, 2009, 2013) at SUAS in the city of Niterói with an emphasis on national policy of Social Assistance (Brasil, 2014; 2011; 2004; 1993). Having as collaborators CREAS workers, within the scope of Social Assistance under the management of the Secretariat of Social Assistance and Human Rights in the municipality of Niterói, a new section of the work universe of this article was created. We perceive how their work processes, both structural and pathological, imply in the production of care linked to the provision of social assistance services. This article aims to reflect, above all, on the correlation between working conditions, in the neoliberal context, reorganization of work processes and production of care in social assistance services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
