O PAPEL DO SUPORTE FAMILIAR EM ADOLESCENTES ACOMETIDOS POR DEPRESSÃO

Abstract

This paper initially addresses the contextualized definition of the complex stage of human development called adolescence. It also discusses the interaction between the physical and social changes experienced by the adolescent, as well as the repercussion of these transformations on the family environment. The depressive disorder may indicate a difficulty in crossing this conflicting phase. Some factors may increase or decrease the possibility of the adolescent becoming physically ill. Finally, this work points out how family support can greatly influence the emotional health of adolescents.
